Answer for question 4554. [Nov. 19th, 2015|06:44 am]
Young Geoffrey
Do you read fantasy novels, play fantasy games, or watch fantasy movies? What was the last ones you read, played, or watched, and what did you think about it? What other fantasy media do you like, such as comics, manga, graphic novels or anything else?
Guess we all have off-days

Asking Livejournal users whether we read fantasy novels, play fantasy games, or watch fantasy movies is kinda like asking us if we know what BDSM stands for, isn't it?

Your LOL meant the world to me

Okay, not really the world. But in the dark wee hours of the morning, it puts a happy smile on my face. And that's gold, Sabotabby, that's gold.

RE: Your LOL meant the world to me

It was literal, too. I was reading while drinking my morning coffee.

I'm not sure how one has to do with the other. Enjoying the fantasy genre doesn't automatically imply you are aware of the kink community in any way. I read The Hobbit in 5th grade, i sure didn't know what BDSM was at that time

To explain a joke is to admit failure

Which makes me doubly-please about the "LOL" I got above; my humour didn't fail entirely.

Anyway, sholan, my point wasn't meant to suggest that enjoying "the fantasy genre ... automatically impl[ies]" one also know about the kink community. Rather, it was meant to (quite strongly, maybe unfairly) suggest that people on Livejournal tend to both like "the fantasy genre" and be at least in nodding acquaintance with BDSM.

In other words, the LJ users tend to be on the nerdy, kinky side of the tracks.

Re: To explain a joke is to admit failure

I haven't been in LJ long - But from what I -have- seen I have to concede to at least that much

Re: To explain a joke is to admit failure

Thank you; I like to think I get things right at least some of the time.

And meanwhile, welcome to Livejournal; it's not the cutting-edge of the blogosphere it once was, but some of us still like it quite a lot. I hope you stick around.
