|The Afternoon Wanes ...

What a wonderful night; and an even better morning.
Yesterday, I saw Laura for the first time since pride. It felt like much more than (almost) two weeks. Too long.
I won't bore (or appall) you all with the gory details. Suffice it to say I that, well, I am blessed by her presence in my life. Thank you, my dear, for everything.
In other news, I have come through a week from hell at work, as I was filling in for our billing person who is (lucky woman) off up north on holiday, thus doing about 2 and a half jobs without really being properly trained in any of them. Good thing I am a smart boy.
Stressful, yes, but of the good kind. No regrets at jumping off the Allstream ship; the new job is forcing me to think as I haven't had to at work in years. It's hard, sometimes, but it's fun.
(Gosh, who'd-a thunk it? Learning is good.)
Apologies for the inanity of this post. We didn't get a lot of sleep last night and my mind is more or less running in second-gear. I think I shall hie myself to a patio to enjoy the rest of the afternoon.
Carry on, all.
